After a trading training he studied composition at the Conservatory « Carl Maria von Weber » in Dresden from 1993 till 1999. It was following a postgraduate course in compostion from 1999 till 2002. He is a freelance composer as well as a journalist for the daily newspaper « Dresdner Neue Nachrichten » (arts and entertainment section). Since 2000 he is chairman of the « Dresdner Kammerchor e.V. ». His work « Bagatelle » for 2 violins was puplished by the swedish label « NOSAG RECORDS ».
